This facility is a 55,000 SF cooled space designed for Pure Hot House Foods Inc., a grower, shipper & marketer of greenhouse grown vegetables sold under the name Pure Flavor®.

The Project

Built on the footprint of a building that burned down, this project was a puzzle from the start. From matching the existing footings and adding more to increase the clear span and height, to getting an outdated fire sprinkler line up and running, this project tested our mettle each step of the way. The project became tenant specific early on, and became a large cooler building for produce with 5 inch insulated walls and an 8 inch thick roof.  Once submitted for permitting, it was discovered we were building in a newly designated Overlay District in the I-35 Corridor. This required specific features such as exterior lighting, landscaping, and exterior surface materials; especially difficult for a metal building, to meet strict guidelines
